Now thats what i'm talking about!!!!

Goddamn that was fun. This is the kinda game that i would have spent dozen's of quarters on in the arcade back in the day. Its fun its exciting. the upgrades give it a sence of pacing. its hard but not impossible. But what really makes it stand out is the atmosphere created by the radio chater. You really get a sense of being in a situation that is quickly going out of hand. My only complaint (and its a small one) is that i never used the horn. So it seem'd like a waste of money. perception also isn't too useful until you have it fully upgraded. I'd really like to see this game with a bigger budget. Mabey as an xbox arcade game. Good job.

Looks good but frustrating

I love the visuals to this game. the graphics are nice and the overall style ties in well. I'm less of a fan of the gameplay.

Alot of the puzzles are either needlessly frustrating and/or feel like they're won by luck rather than planning. The physics are a little wonkey, like blocks sticking when you know they should fall and the like. Also using the helicopter based tools is like pulling teeth. I can't count how many times i failed because i couldn't control the helicoptor for more than 2 seconds.

You have a good start. you just need to work on the tools some more and test play the levels a bit.

Yeah, not good

The graphics are serviceable but thats about it. The platforming is badly done and feels floaty and hard to control at best. The combat is boring, you will never use the punch, and for the bosses all i did was wait till one of the goons dropped a bazooka...thats the only way i could beat them by the way because one hit and your dead and your default gun does almost no damage to them.
And because the jumping is so bad its really hard to dodge their attacks even though their basically just shooting straight at you.

Really the only thing that stands out about this game is the Madness skin job. Take away that and you just have a bad game.

If you cleaned up the jumping physics and added some depth to the combat then you might have somthing but as is it's a pass. Sorry.

innnntesting.

neat little game you got here. short but sweet.

Not bad

I like the use of still photo's for the enviroment and the story wasn't bad but the safe puzzle was bullshit. you didn't leave enough clues and even the one you did leave wasn't at all obvious. I wasn't even able to tell the letters in the note were important, you should have made them stand out more or used a different color for them. and even then it's still a stretch to figure out.
The key hunting was a bit tricky (especially the school key) but wasn't a deal breaker and the scare moments we're nice though i would have liked a few more and mabey at least one more way to die.
Good attempt though, you nailed down the atmosphere really well.

I'll try to make it easier next time!
Thanks for your suggestions.

fun but short and one or two problems

nice little expansion. I like the power ups, although the wasbi steam thing is sort of wasted due to the level designs of the last section. mabey think about putting it in less complicated levels next time.

Also if your too fat in level 10 you can get stuck in those rotaing square sections.

Good work

I really liked it. Good music, decent length, fairly challeging. You even managed to tie in a clever little story. Sort of The Running Man meets Portal. I like that can customize the dude.
Really my only thing is your guy is a little too floaty, especially when trying to come to a stop, but i get the feeling that it was a style choice and while i'm not a fan it does work to add some extra challenge, so i won't fault you for it.

Fun but not really Wallace and Gromit

I like the game. it was creative and fun. my main gripe was that other than the occasional one liner, Wallace and Gromit had nothing to do with the game. you never see them. Also i'm fine with just throwing the player into the game without an intro but at least give us an ending scene rather than thanking us and then dumping us back into the rocket room.

Also once you unlocked the turbine tool there's no real reason to use any of the others.

great start

love the concept and it plays fine.

A couple of more levels would have been nice and a few more ships. If you make another mabey put in some mid bosses that you can jack after destroying their outer defenses, that way you'll have a ship with massive offensive power and armor but it'll be big and hard to defend (so you'd only be able to hang on to it for so long)

also often i'd be blown up and before i had a chance to manuver i'd acidently jack another ship and instantly be destroyed by another ship crashing into me. This would often happen mulitpule times in the span of a second or so depleting all my energy almost instantly which felt kind of cheap. perhaps either adding a button press in order to jack vehicals (like holding the fire button) or a brief window of invunerability after jacking a new ship would pervent that but really thats a taste thing and is up to you.

meh

It's an intresting little deversion but only for like one playthrough. You borrowed very heavily from peggle, although one thing that you left out that i think would have improved the game was random placement of the power ups every round. as is you can only do so much with them and i found that 9 times out of 10 the dragon cannon was worthless because of where it was placed. adding random spawing of it would at least give you a differnt chance of effectiveness every time you replayed. The cat growing as you used him was a good idea but i would have made it so he keeps his size between drops (but not levels), i know you'd have to redesign the levels to do this but its the most noteworthy difference from peggle and could add an element of stratgey having to take the cat's size into acount every time you drop him. the story was cute.
